I’m a old school hip hop head that got started making Country Rap Tunes as I was inspired by some of the great rappers from the south. My biggest inspirations are Pimp C, Bun B, 8 Ball and MJG, Ludacris. E-40, Too $hort, Everlast, Haystak, Jellyroll, Mr. Mike, Andre 3k and Big Boi, Goodie Mob, No Limit Records, Twista, and honestly the list goes on and on. But these guys here are a good start to introduce my upbringing into the hip hop and rap culture. 0
Artists like T-Pain, Everlast, Ceelo, and Jellyroll showed me that it’s okay to seep into other music genres as well. With that I’m incorporating lots of jazz, southern rock and roll, blues and hip hop together to create my own version of Country Rap Tunes. My latest album, Cup of Tea is full of “bars and blues” as I take the listener through a journey of struggle, heartbreak, adversity and overcoming the odds. Making peace with my maker, I’m blessed and proud to bring this album to you and hope you find something in here you can jam too!
